Fun &Free.
That's they way we serve it up for the kids year after year! From pony rides, to face painting, Lego-fun, and the jumbo moonwalk, your children will have a ball.

Open Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th at 1PM in the designated Kid's Play Area in front of the Higgin's School building to the West of Town Hall you will find most of the activities listed below.

Raffia Road Service Center - Kids Area Exclusive Presenter


 
Pony Rides
Free pony rides for small children (under 75 pounds). Supervised by volunteers, children may ride around the ring to their hearts content!
 
Lego Duplo Discovery Zone
Children can build to their hearts content using Duplo building blocks available at the Lego Play Area.
 
Mini Golf
A 9-hole mini golf course will be set up by the Higgins School for the children's enjoyment.
 
Face Painting
Free face painting provided by Calvary Church Youth Group...Who wants Spiderman painted on their cheek?
 
Sponge Bob Bouncer
Kick off your shoes and bounce high and giggle on the bouncer.
 
Puppet Show
Free puppet shows each hour provided by Calvary Church Youth Group.
 
Castle Maze
Small children crawl inside a maze of inflated tunnels until they can find their way out of the castle.
 
Fun Activities
The Calvary Church Youth Group hosts a variety of free crafts, balloon art, and game activities.
 
Old Woman In The Shoe Slide
Small children climb to the top of the Old Woman's Shoe House and then slide down and then crawl inside a maze of inflated tunnels until they find their way out of the castle.
 
Kid's Challenge Obstacle Course
Kid's climb through, up, around, and over a variety of inflated obstacles to see who can finish first.
 
Noah's Ark Obstacle Course
Kid's climb through, up, around, and over a variety of challenging animal shaped obstacles until they finally exit the course via a slide.
 

Special Kid's Events:


The Ronald McDonald Show will take place Saturday July 12th at 3PM at the West end of Higgins School. Join Ronald McDonald and his pals for a music- filled voyage of french fries, adventure and fun! Sponsored by Rosen Enterprises, your local McDonald's folks who Love To See You Smile!

Pie Eating Contests Saturday July 12th on picnic tables near the South end of the stage on Town Green. Don't eat too much for lunch, you're gonna want to save some room for pie! It's a
no-hands-allowed, feeding frenzy against the clock..for the 1st place trophy. And guess what- We have categories for Moms and Dads, too!  And remember it's FREE to enter!!!

Children's Trike Race at North Main Street. The Starting Line is near the Town Hall Access Road entrance. This one's for all the marbles.. and a Blue Ribbon! Get the little-ones' trike souped up and tricked out for the Annual Trike Races! Bring the camera, the cheering section, and don't forget the mandatory helmet.

Bicycle Decorating Contest Saturday July 12th at Thomas G. Alcorn School, Children 5 to 12 years old will have fun decorating their bikes. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to the MOST PATRIOTIC AND MOST ORIGINAL

Spaghetti Eating Contests Sunday July 13th on picnic tables near the South end of the stage on Town Green. May we suggest you leave their Sunday Best at home for this contest. When the whistle blows, it's face down, mouth open, EAT! It's a no-hands-allowed, feeding frenzy against the clock..for the 1st place trophy. We hear some kids in Hazardville have been training for months! Several age brackets available including the adult "swine" category.  And remember it's FREE to enter!!!
